Des hommes armés non identifiés ont dévalisé deux familles dans la commune de Katoka (Kananga), à proximité du commissariat provincial de la police. Il s’agit, selon le rapport de la situation fait par la police, de la famille de monsieur Marcel Madi habitant au numéro 14 sur avenue Ditekemena au quartier Mpokolo.
Les assaillants ont emporté une moto en plus d’une importante somme d’argent. Le propriétaire de la maison a copieusement été tabassé et admis ce mardi matin à l’hôpital St Georges en face du commissariat provincial de la police situé dans la commune de Katoka.
La deuxième victime est monsieur Robert Mukengeshayi, domicilié au numéro 17 sur l’avenue Mukendi wa Basanga au quartier Kapanda toujours dans la commune de Katoka. Suite aux coups lui administrés par les assaillants, la victime a été admise au centre de santé Cerdes à Katoka.
Comme partout ailleurs, les assaillants ont réussi à percer les murs des maisons et se sont introduits tranquillement. Ils ont opéré et ont tiré en l’air avant de partir. Une autorité administrative révèle que les assaillants semblent avoir une longueur d’avance sur les patrouilleurs:
» Cette nuit, les assaillants ont détourné les patrouilleurs. Ils ont appelé sur le numéro vert de la police et se sont fait passer pour des victimes en orientant les patrouilleurs à des fausses adresses loin des lieux où ils opéraient rendant difficile l’intervention « , explique ce responsable administratif qui a requis l’anonymat et qui soupçonne une possible collusion entre certains membres des services de sécurité et les assaillants.
Des tirs ont également été entendus dans d’autres quartiers de la ville comme SNEL et Biancky où des tentatives de cambriolage ont été déjouées suite aux cris de la population.
L’insécurité qui règne actuellement dans la ville de Kananga rappelle celle qui avait précédé l’insurrection de la milice du chef Kamuina Nsapu en 2016. Plusieurs voix dans la population appellent à une auto prise en charge des habitants de la ville pour faire face à cette insécurité qui inquiète.
