Le trafic sur l’axe routier Bukavu – Minova – Goma est opérationnel malgré le confinement de deux villes par les gouverneurs des deux provinces du Nord-Kivu et celui du Sud-Kivu.

La route nationale numéro deux (RN2) axe Bukavu – Goma est opérationnelle grâce au financement de la banque mondiale dans le cadre du projet » PRO-ROUTES », qui vise d’améliorer les conditions de vies des populations riveraines et des conditions de circulation sur la partie du réseau prioritaire traité par le projet de Minova dans le territoire de Kalehe jusqu’à Lulimba dans le territoire de Fizi.
Les travaux de réhabilitation du tronçon routier Minova – Kavumu dans le territoire de Kabare sont exécutés par l’entreprise chinoise SZTC.
La longueur des 200 km entre la ville de Bukavu et celle de Goma via Minova la cité qui limite les provinces du Nord-Kivu et du Sud-Kivu est située à 150 km de Bukavu.

Le manque de cantonnage manuel risque de remettre cette route à la case du départ, est surtout pendant la période pluvieuse de septembre, si le gouvernement Congolais ne prend pas des dispositions.
