Mwenga: le lancement des travaux de réhabilitation de la route nationale n°2 donne de l’espoir à la population

Le Ministre Provincial en charge des Infrastructures, représentant du Gouverneur de la Province du sud-kivu, vient de lancer ce samedi 2 décembre 2023 à Tubimbi dans le territoire de Walungu.

 

Sous les pieds des escarpements de mises en garde, le démarrage des travaux de réhabilitation de la route nationale n°2 dans les les Territoires de Walungu et Mwenga. Ceci, en présence du Directeur de cabinet Adjoint du Gouverneur, Madame Geneviève Mizumbi, de Sa Majesté Kalenga Riziki Lwango ainsi que de Coordonnateur du Bureau d’études, Mr Vianney Basambila. Un ouf de soulagement surtout de la population de Mwenga qui se voyait déjà oublier par le Gouvernement tant national que provincial.

Selon les témoignages reçus sur place, les travaux seront exécutés par l’Office des routes et selon le Directeur Provincial de cet office, ces travaux consisteront à la suppression des bourbiers et au reprofilage partiel. c’est le FONER qui a déboursé les 30% du montant sollicité pour le démarrage de ces travaux.

Au travers son mot de circonstance, le Ministre Provincial des infrastructures, Représentant de son Excellence Monsieur le Gouverneur de la Province du Sud-Kivu, a brossé une petite historique des plaidoyers menés par différentes personnalités et associations non gouvernementales pour la réhabilitation de cette route nationale n°2 en Territoire de Mwenga. Le Gouverneur Theo Ngwabidje, consterné par cette situation, a eu à convoyer ces plaidoyers auprès des autorités nationales pour solliciter une intervention à la hauteur de la dégradation de cette route.

C’est donc sous l’implication du Président de la République que la réponse a été trouvée a fait savoir le Ministre Provincial des infrastructures au Sud-Kivu.

C’est donc dans ce sens que le Mwami Kalenga, représentant les communautés dans cette cérémonie, a remercié le Président de la République, Felix Tshisekedi pour le début de solution qu’il vient de donner aux usagers de cette route. Les remerciements ont été formulées également par Sa Majesté au Gouverneur de la Province Théo Ngwabidje pour avoir fait remonté les doléances de la population du Territoire de Mwenga à la haute hiérarchie du pays.

Pour rappel, les plaidoyers sollicitant la réhabilitation de la route nationale n°2 en Territoire de Mwenga ont commencé depuis le mois de Mai mais malheureusement, ils sont restés infructueux. Le Mwami Kalenga a été à la première ligne pour solliciter la réhabilitation de cette route pendant la saison sèche mais cette cette demande insistante est restée sans suite.

Il fera même le déplacement avec Madame le questeur de l’Assemblée Provinciale du Sud-Kivu, Honorable Blandine Moza Kalafula à Kinshasa pour poser le problème auprès du Ministre National des infrastructures au cours d’une audience qui leurs a été accordée.

La société civile, la fondation TMF, ainsi que d’autres structures citoyennes viendront renforcer ces plaidoyers pour l’intérêt de la population de Mwenga.

Aujourd’hui, grâce à tous ces efforts venus de partout, l’on peut dire que la lutte a payé et on espère que les travaux ne seront pas interrompus à mi-chemin.
