Il est possible aujourd’hui de faire un aller et retour Bukavu Nyalubemba dans le territoire de Shabunda grâce aux travaux de cantonage manuel en cours d’exécution par le projet » Tujenge Barabara ya Shabunda » financés par le Gouverneur de Province du Sud-Kivu, Théo Ngwabidje Kasi.
C’est depuis le mois de Mars dernier que ces travaux ont débuté à partir du pont Maimingi à la limite des territoires de Walungu et de Shabunda.
Le constat a été fait par certains notables de Shabunda connus sous l’appellation des Conclavistes du territoire de Shabunda, parmis eux un artiste-musicien de la musique traditionnelle Lega Kilimus.
Ces derniers sont allés observer et inspecter les travaux qui sont à la base des divergences entre les ressortissants de Shabunda.
Le constat est que ; les cantonniers avancent bien avec les travaux d’ensoleillement qui consistent à couper les harbes et les mauvaises herbes tout au long de la route pour éclairer la chaussée.
Mais les cantonniers souffrent beaucoup avec les travaux de suppression des bourbiers manuellement car ils transportent les moellons sur la tête, mais aussi ils sont dépourvus des matériels appropriés pour le transport des matériaux et des outils de travail.
Le coordonnateur national du Projet » Tujenge Barabara ya Shabunda » Drid Bampa, lance un SOS pour que les ressortissants de Shabunda accompagnent ce projet initié par le Gouverneur de Province, Théo Ngwabidje Kasi qui donne déjà de l’espoir en attendant les grands travaux de l’entreprise chinoise JIN JIAN.
Ils sollicite l’influence des chacuns des ressortissants de Shabunda pour que les machines de la dite entreprise soit exonérées par le Gouvernement Congolais [•••].
Le population de Shabunda attend aujourd’hui la modernisation de cette route abandonnée après la chute de la SOMINKI vers les années 1990.
Elle attend beaucoup du contrat signé entre le Gouvernement Provincial et JIN JIAN pour que leurs produits de récolte puissent arriver et inonder la ville de Bukavu.
