Des Organisations de Défense des Droits des Femmes (ODDF) dont l’Alliance Internationale des Femmes Avocates (AIFA) et la Commission Nationale des Droits de l’Homme (CNDH), ont organisé une marche de protestation ce Jeudi 25 janvier 2024 contre le mariage forcé et précoce de la jeune fille.

Elles se disent scandalisées par le mariage contracté entre le pasteur responsable de l’église primitive Pierre Kasambakana et la jeune fille Meda à Moanda dans le Kongo-Central le 8 Janvier dernier. Elles ont saisi l’occasion pour sensibiliser la population kinoise contre le mariage précoce qui est en violation de la loi congolaise.

Partie de la place des évolués au palais de la justice dans la commune de La Gombe à Kinshasa, ces femmes ont déposé un mémorandum auprès de la Ministre de tutelle de qui elles sollicitent une implication directe bien que l’accusé soit déjà derrière les barreaux.

« Nous avons organisé cette marche d’abord pour exprimer notre indignation par rapport au mariage engagé entre le pasteur Jean-Pierre Kasambakana et la jeune fille Meda. Pour nous, ce mariage ne respecte pas les normes juridiques de la République Démocratique du Congo. Déjà en entendant les propos du père de la fille qui dit j’ai donné ma fille en cadeau, en holocauste, c’est ce qui nous a dérangé par ce que la loi ne conçoit pas le mariage en cadeau d’une jeune fille », a expliqué Grâce Israël Kandungu, Coordonnatrice du réseau des femmes leaders pour l’accès à la parole.

Et de poursuivre : »Raison pour laquelle nous sommes venues voir la ministre de la justice pour solliciter son implication bien qu’il y ait déjà des actions amorcées par le procureur général de la République, donc nous voulons aussi avoir une implication personnelle de la ministre de justice, de la Ministre du Genre, au finish nous voulons que ce message arrive auprès du chef de l’État par ce qu’il est champion de la masculinité positive ».

Ces organisations sollicitent également du ministère de la justice un accompagnement afin que les poursuites judiciaires déjà entamées rétablissent « la fillette Meda » dans ses droits « les plus légitimes », d’assurer sa prise en charge psychosociale et sa réinsertion, en collaboration avec la ministre du Genre, famille et enfants, de disponibiliser des ressources nécessaires pour la sensibilisation intensive sur la question des violences basées sur le genre en général et le mariage forcé en particulier.

« La direction des cultes étant dans vos attributions, nous sollicitons la fermeture momentanée de son église située au 197, de l’avenue Kabinda, dans la commune de Lingwala à Kinshasa et ses extensions à Kinshasa et sur toute l’étendue de la République Démocratique ; pour le rétablissement de l’ordre public, de l’éthique et de bonnes moeurs », indique ce mémorandum.

Au CSAC, les militantes des droits des femmes ont sollicité l’interdiction formelle de la diffusion des interventions du pasteur Kasambakana et ses adeptes dans les médias congolais.
