Clôture du Forum Battery Metals DRC-Africa: Vuka Group insiste sur l’équité et l’égalité pour toutes les parties prenantes »

Rideaux le Jeudi 21 Septembre 2023 du forum Battery Metals DRC-Africa à Kinshasa-Gombe, après deux jours d’intenses travaux.

Organisé par Vuka Group , ce forum Battery Metals DRC-Africa a connu la présence de plusieurs personnalités dans le secteur minier venus de toute la RDC et de la Zambie, autour du thème : «Créer de la richesse dans la chaîne de valeur de l’industrie des métaux de batteries en RDC et en Afrique.

Les échanges ont été houleux dans différents panels en perspective de la création des richesses dans la chaîne de valeur de l’industrie des métaux de batteries en République Démocratique du Congo, en République de Zambie et en Afrique de manière générale.

Ces assises ont porté sur plusieurs points essentiellement sur l’industrie des batteries et des métaux pour assurer une chaîne d’approvisionnement durable, transparente et responsable en RDC, notamment les mises en place d’un système financier fiable pour valorisation de la chaîne de valeur des métaux des batteries; promouvoir la production de batteries comme tremplin de développement économique pour la transition énergétique.

Aussi faudrait-il, le souligner, le renforcement de la coopération régionale à travers les accords commerciaux de libre échange; le développement de l’industrie des batteries en RDC qui contribuera à la création d’emplois et à la réduction de la pauvreté; et la mise en relation entre les projets de mobilité, les investisseurs et les fabricants d’EV, ont été abordés.

Après plusieurs explications dans les panels de discussion qui ont abouti à un choc d’idées, le Conseil congolais des batteries RDC (CCB) à travers son Directeur Général Aadjoint, Vuko Kakule a dévoilé une liste des recommandations et orientations en invitant le gouvernement de la République et tous les acteurs à s’en approprier.

Il s’agit notamment, de Mutualiser des efforts entre les États africains à l’instar de la RDC et de la Zambie et assurer que les investissements dans le secteur minier et de l’industrie de transformation soient effectifs pour leurs connaissances, compétence et technologie en vue de pérenniser la création de la richesse dans la chaîne de valeur de l’industrie des métaux de batteries en Afrique en général et en RDC en particulier dans un partenariat privilégié; Doter des moyens propres de la mutualisation entre la RDC et la Zambie tout en s’inspirant des modèles chinois, européens et américains; Poursuivre des recherches géologiques et minières afin d’améliorer les connaissances des ressources minérales; Mesurer et certifier le gisement minier suivant des procédés et des plans économiques rentables; Améliorer la gouvernance du secteur minier en renforçant les capacités des acteurs étatiques; étant d’autres…

En rappel lors de la clôture de ces assises le souhait le plus ardent était de pousser le législateur de travailler sans relâche en vue de mettre en exergue conformément au code minier de la RDC, la mise en place d’une Loi générale sur l’industrie qui s’appellerait « code de l’industrie « .

Ce forum RDC-Afrique sur les métaux de batteries est la principale plateforme d’engagement pour les producteurs de Cobalt de Cuivre, de Lithium, de nickel, de graphite, de manganèse, de terres rares et de 3T, les fabricants de batteries, les commerçants, les investisseurs ainsi que les ONG en Afrique.
