Insalubrité à Kinshasa: Félix Tshisekedi s’indigne de la légèreté pour rendre la ville salubre

Lors du conseil des ministres du 27 octobre 2023, le président de la République, Félix Tshisekedi, s’est exprimé sur l’insalubrité à Kinshasa.

À en croire le chef de l’Etat, cette situation qui sévit dans la capitale de la République Démocratique du Congo est devenue « dégradante et inadmissible ».

« Toutes les communes de la capitale subissent le spectacle dégradant et inadmissible des déchets qui jonchent les rues, les caniveaux et les cours d’eau », lit-on dans le compte-rendu dudit conseil des ministres qui reprend le président de la République.

Cependant, Félix Tshisekedi a fait constater à ses ministres que les déchets plastiques peuvent devenir des matières premières rémunératrices. Malheureusement ce n’est pas encore le cas en RDC, exception faite pour quelques privés.

« Si les déchets deviennent des matières premières rémunératrices, le président de la République a fait le constat selon lequel cette opportunité de déploiement d’une filière industrielle de recyclage des déchets des produits plastiques, source de création d’emplois rémunérés tant qualifiés que non qualifiés dans la capitale n’a pas encore démarré de manière optimale, malgré la présence de quelques acteurs privés y opérant », a poursuivi le chef de l’Etat.

Il a, par conséquent, instruit le ministre de l’Industrie à présenter au gouvernement des propositions pour booster le recyclage industriel des déchets plastiques.

« Au vu du constat manifeste de la nécessité de booster ce secteur de l’économie circulaire, le Ministre de l’Industrie est appelé à présenter des propositions d’incitations quant à son développement. Ainsi, le modèle d’un écosystème industriel dans le recyclage des déchets soutenu par une politique publique pourra être dupliquée dans d’autres villes du pays », conclut le compte-rendu fait par le ministre de la communication et médias.

Présentement, la ville de Kinshasa n’a aucun centre d’enfouissement de déchets. Ce qui fait que tous les déchets produits dans la capitale finissent la course soit dans la rue, dans les cours d’eau, dans les caniveaux ou les érosions.
